I’m so excited! I’ve been using the Azelaic Acid for three months now and have been loving it. My skin has definitely changed since using it and I just love the results. I was going to do a separate post about the azelaic acid but why not talking about it now!

The product comes in 30ml squeeze tube. The product, a cream base, is white in color and has no scent to it. The acid is thick but is easy to spread with your fingertips and doesn't leave any kind of residue on the skin.
My skin did purge when I first started this product. That was like the hardest week to not stop using the product, even though I wanted to the first night after when a big pimple popped up.
Most people don't like this product because of the feel it gives after applying it. The formula does have dimethicone, which gives other products like pore-minimizing primers that slippery feel. You get that with this product. That artificial almost plastic feel can be annoying for most people. It's also why this product is terrible when layering.
Because of the dimethicone, if another product is added right after, it will form balls of product on the skin. I've had this happen to me once in the 3 months of using the azelaic acid. I've learned to use the spread and push method. I would apply the product but as soon as the silicone slip feel came, I would start to push the product into my skin. I would then wait between 3 to 5 minutes before I moved on to my next step (usually a sheet mask) to make sure the product had settled and was doing its job.
After just a month, my skin looked a lot smooth and I had fewer, if not none at all, breakouts. There was some lightening of dark spots on my face but not significant.

That’s where the Alpha Arbutin comes in. I’ve watched a few videos saying good things. The video by Gothamista convinced me to snatch my own bottle. I have just started to incorporating it. So any purging or breakouts will be noted and I will get back to you all if it’s a goodie or a dud.
The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA - 30ml; ph 4.85-4.9; $8.90 USD
Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% - 30ml; ph 4-5 (some say that it’s about 4.9); $7.90 USD
