Ever get a sample of a product that just makes you go "OMG! I need this product in my life!" , with it just turning out to be a dud? That's what happened here.

The Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care is a moisturizer that supposed to be a "boost" to the skin with aloe water and hyaluronic acid. The oil-free moisturizer is said to provide moisture for 72 hours. Formulated for different skin types, I'm only speaking on the Normal/Oily skin version.
I received a sample of this moisturizer that, when used at the time, provided moisture and made my skin look matte (which is advertises). I was ready to add this moisturizer to my life. When I did buy it...I was disappointed.
The moisturizer has a thick consistency and is translucent. This is in due to the aloe water. But the aloe water and hyaluronic acid can not save this moisturizer. Besides water, the next ingredients are "no goods" - denatured alcohol, glycerin, and dimethicone. These ingredients are usually seen in products for oily skin and that may be a negative point on my part. My skin is dry/normal, but this product isn't good.
When applied, the product is cool and feels like it would be a good moisturizer but it doesn't prove it to me. The moisturizer absorbed into the skin but it felt more like it evaporated after some time. What usually remained was the fragrance of the moisturizer instead of its properties.
I saw no improvement of moisture in my skin and in actuality, I would have to add a second moisturizer to counterbalance the Hydra Genius. It did help to be a good mixing medium for physical sunscreens which my skin doesn't really play well with but that shouldn't be its only use.
I haven't come across other reviews on the product (if you have let me know your thoughts!), but for me this is a no-go and would gladly give this to someone who could and would use it.
