Sadly, it isn’t potent.

I don’t know about anyone else, but if the cream is too thick or something, I get the eye crust in the morning which is not fun. I try not to put too much on but when a cream is too emollient, it’s inevitable for the rheum(the eye boogers, LOL!) to appear. This cream was just that.
I’ve tried other eye creams and I had a HG (Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful eye cream *sad face*) but it’s gone now. I need a replacement. This was going to be a good one because Benefit was supposed to be a good brand. Their mascara is actually a product I like! Why in the world does this eye cream not like me?
A brightening and hydrating cream that helps to smooth the appearance of fine lines and restore elasticity, I thought this product was for me. I don’t get puffy eyes, but rather tried dry eyes. I stare at a computer 40 hours a week and I’m a phone addict, I admit it. Plus, genetics have blessed me with dark circles. Forever tired.
It’s not good, so I need something to help keep my eyes fresh and hydrated. A thick cream would be good, but it’s not.
It’s Potent Eye Cream
Enough about me, let’s talk about the product. Containing a “peptide complex known to help restore elasticity and firmness, along with a blend of hydrating botanical extracts and loquat extract”, this eye cream would be great for anyone’s skincare arsenal. Linseed, squalane, Avena Sativa extract, sweet almond extract, and many more make this product a good product but something about it didn’t work for me.
I didn’t use much of it and I went about massaging and tapping the product in but I would wake up with rheum ready to be washing away. Well, rubbed away which made my eye problems worse. I was doing more harm than good! Why? I have theories but since I’m not a scientist (Organic Chem wouldn’t let me live!), let’s just go with it just didn’t work.

I still have a bit in the jar, which is another thing. The container does not allow for easy or clean access. You’re just dipping your finger in and allowing for contamination. It could be done better. With the little that it left, I may just use it as a hand moisturizer but since it’s been past 6 months since I’ve purchased and opened the jar, I’m probably just going to rid of it. With it being on sale when I got it ($17 USD; regularly $34 USD), it’s an upsetting purchase.
Until next post,
XOXO
