Beauty Subscription - Target September 2017 Box

Target’s Beauty Box is a monthly beauty box that isn’t subscription based that offers a number of beauty items found at Target for an average of $7/box that includes a $3 off coupon with each box.

This month, there were two different boxes. I gravitated to this box as it seems more catered to those with naturally curly hair and something I wanted to try.

I’ve been natural for almost a year now (check out my post here) and I’ve been trying to not be a product junkie but I’ve found some good staples. I like to look at new products and this box helps with trying out new things.

Chapstick Total Hydration 3 in 1 Lip Care in Blood Orange

You can’t go wrong with Chapstick and I’ve actually tried this variety before (different flavor). It’s a nice little item to have near by, especially with autumn and winter coming. I still have my Fresh Beauty caramel lip balm but this will be a good option to have on the side.

St Ives Apricot Scrub

*sighs* This is the scrub every newbie into skincare is told about and I will admit, I’ve tried. But since learning about my skin, I can’t with this scrub and no one else should! Yes, I’m one of those people is saying steer clear of this walnut shell exfoliator. For me, it’s too harsh and having tried other hard exfoliators, it really damages the skin. I have sensitive skin and try to avoid the physical exfoliators because of it. The scrub isn’t really something to be used everyday. I could probably use as a body scrub (which I love!) but as a facial scrub - it’s a no.

Pretty Animalz Panda Calming Sheet Mask

From the Masque Bar brand, this cute animal mask is just a fun mask to have. I haven’t really used a character mask in some time and I miss them. I can’t wait to try the mask out!

Shea Moisture Argan Oil & Almond Milk Smooth & Tame Shampoo + Blow Out Creme

One of the times that I knew that I wanted from this box as it catered to naturally curly hair. Shea Moisture has had it controversy but you can’t deny that it’s a good brand that people go back to. I’ve never tried this shampoo or creme but excited to use. I love argan oil, so I know this will be a great product for my hair. I don’t put heat to my hair nowadays but I’m hoping I can use the blow out cream as a moisture.

Curls Blueberry Bliss Reparative Leave In

I’ve never heard of this brand but being that it’s made with blueberry extract and smells like blueberry, I’m happy to have it. It’s an great product with coconut oil, grapeseed oil, aloe extract, and blueberry as the star. I think I will definitely love this product and will probably buy the full size.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Skin Lotion

Palmer’s is not a new product to me. I’ve used cocoa butter plenty of times and my skin loves it. A few times when I had scars, Palmer’s would help to fade them. This lotion will definitely be a good thing to have in the coming autumn and winter.

Ors Curls Unleashed Curl Defining Creme

Another product that pulled me to buy this box for my hair. A good curl creme is essential to curl hair and to be able to try out this one and Shea Moisture will be beneficial to me and my hair journey. This product has shea butter and honey which, if it was good for Cleopatra it’s good for me. It’s a pretty big sample and I hope I can get more than one use out of to really feel it.

Really a great box for those with curl (more close to kinky) hair. I can’t wait to try out the hair products and just find some new loves. I didn’t get the other box because it didn’t really appeal to me. There were a couple of products but as a whole, the box wasn’t for me and the samples would just be unused. This box, I will use this samples and probably do a review. If you want a Target box, keep an eye out at the beginning of the month and act fast as they sell out quickly.
