Advertising works because following The Body Shop IG lulled me into buying this mask sample packet of the new Japanese Matcha Tea Clearing Mask. I love mask and I love green tea. I would definitely love this mask!
I like it. I don’t know if I love it just yet. The packet only has a single use, so I will have to try it again but first impression time!
The mask is a pollution clearing mask that removed pollution and impurities while leaving clear and radiant skin. While pulling out the impurities, the mask also provides slight exfoliation. A nice little mask to have when the day is harsh.
100% vegan, this wash off mask is a green mask - it looks like avocado- that has matcha green tea from Japan and aloe vera from Mexico. The mask also contains olive oil, shea butter, and apricot seed powder. The mask smells wonderful. I can keep it on all day but I only kept it on for 10 minutes.
The mask did sting a bit after applying it but that’s just my sensitive skin. The feeling went away after a minute. Washing the mask off was easy. I judge masks on how well they wash off and this one washed off quite well. My skin didn’t feel dried out and was able to go on with my routine.
There are bits of apricot seeds in the mask for exfoliation. It wasn’t too harsh. I carefully massaged the mask in circular motion to exfoliate and it felts nice. I didn’t feel a major difference with the exfoliation but it’s nice to have it added.
This was just a first impression on the mask but I would really want to try it again before I commit to a big jar. As a first impression, I would give this a 7 out of 10.
I picked up the satchel from Ulta.com for $2.50 USD and the jar is available at Ulta for $28 USD. I need to try more The Body Shop masks if they are like this.
Until next post,
XOXO
