Before sheet masks, there were modeling rubber mask. Still a huge skincare treatment - an active ingredient is mixed a base to make a slimy consistency that is slapped on the face to treat what is needed.
There are few good modeling DIY masks that we can do but for some, it would seem messy and difficult to apply. They’re fun skin-tertainment and are great for spa days.
These rubber mask are just another option in doing the modeling. No more mixing. This rubber mask is a two-step mask with a cream that you place on and a rubber mask to place over type. An interesting concept and just fun to use.
I’ve got three similar hydration masks from three different brands at three different price points. The point of this project is to see what’s the difference in all three of them. They’re all hydration rubber masks with a first step cream base and second rubber mask. But let’s get into the ingredients.

Interesting factor to note is that all but the Scinic mask list ingredients for the rubber mask which is interesting with the mask being soaked in a clear serum. You would think most of the good stuff would be in the cream that is applied before the mask.
There appear to be similar ingredients in all, with fruit extracts and oils populating the Dr. Jart mask. I have my predictions of which mask I will like but I will remain as unbiased as I can be.
Each mask is the same and each is different. I’m excited to see the results. Which one do you think will be on top?
Until next post,
XOXO
