Welcome to this month’s (this is supposed to be a monthly thing but been lacking) What’s the Difference, where we compare masks that have at least one common denominator between them and this time, we shining bright like a diamond!

The competitors for this month is Yesul Turmeric +C Brightening Sheet Mask and Frudia Brightening Bursting Energy. Both are brightening masks (stating so on the front) but are different. Their difference is very obvious and it’s the ingredients.

The Yesul Turmeric+C Brightening Sheet Mask was given to me by one of my BFFs. I’ve been wanting to try something with turmeric since it’s supposed to be such a wonderful root. This mask has turmeric root powder that is said to help keep the skin looking young and refreshed and brightened. Turmeric+ Vitamin C are to help revitalize the skin and protect with antioxidants.

Opening the mask, I didn’t smell any scent. The mask was yellow from the tumeric which was nice to know that the mask didn’t lie about that (tumeric root is fifth on the ingredient list). The mask was soaked in milky essence that was kind of watery. The mask fit nicely and sat firmly on my face.

I kept the mask on for 20 minutes and after removing, I could see a slight brightening on my skin. I used both of these masks in the morning. My face felt hydrated and my makeup applied well afterwards. A nice mask, and with more uses of this mask, I could see more brightening.

The second mask is the Frudia Brightening Bursting Energy mask. I picked this up at CVS from the Peach Slices area which has a great selection of Kbeauty. Like the Yesul mask, this is a brightening mask, but unlike the Yesul, the key ingredient is Jeju satsuma.

I’ve used this mask a couple of times before and really love it - mainly for the scent. It smells so citrus-y sweet. The scent is so relaxing and just a favorite. This mask is also yellow but not because of the ingredients but because of the natural fibers of the sheet mask.

The mask was soaked in clear essence and sat nicely on my face even as I moved about doing activities. I kept this mask on for 20 minutes but I could have kept it on for a little bit longer. Removing the mask, my skin was very hydrated and brightened.

Final results: Both masks are brightening and hydrating. I loved bother and neither were a bad one. I would like to try the Yesul again to get a better handling on it and would try either one again.

Have you tried either one before?
