What’s the Difference - Pomegranate Masks

Another month and another WTD! This month’s is pomegranate masks!

This was spur of the moment when I was going over my masks and I realized that I had two different pomegranate masks. Pomegranate in skincare provide the benefit of fighting acne, fighting sun damage, is an antioxidant, and helps to firm the skin. Both of these masks promote “fighting wrinkles” and revitalizing the skin. I’ve never really had any revitalizing when I use these types of masks. They’re more of multi use masks, seeing results after multiple times of using the mask. So this WTD is really on how the mask is as a first impression and would I repurchase as a revitalizing mask or not. Let’s start with the first one.

First up is the I Dew Care Jump Start Energizing Pomegranate Mask. I picked this up at Ulta for $5 USD. I’ve never tried anything from I Dew Care but I do remember that’s associated with Nooni. Like the name says, this is an energizing mask. The essence has eucalyptus extract, tea tree oil, and a lot of fruit extracts to help brighten the skin. The essence is light and watery and has a sweet fruity scent to it.
The mask itself was thin and laid nicely on my face. I kept it on for 20 minutes. I removed the mask and my skin felt soft and hydrated. A nice mask to use at the end of the day (though I did use these masks in the morning). I liked the package and the mask was a nice refreshing mask.
Second up is one I’ve used before - Ariul 7day Mask Pomegranate. I do like the Ariul masks. Very simple and quick to use and I can easily get them at CVS for $2.49 USD. This is a firming and radiating mask. Unlike the I Dew Care mask, this mask is thick Tencel mask. It’s able to hold the cream essence.

This mask doesn’t have any distinct scent which helped with keeping the mask on. I kept it on for 20 minutes and removed it to plump glowing skin. I had a great base for my makeup that day. Like I said, I’ve used Ariul 7day masks before and they’re always good.
No true winner but for price point and moisturizing, I would get the Ariul mask and would recommend it. I would recommend both but mostly the Ariul mask.
Until next post,
XOXO
