Play! By Sephora is a monthly beauty subscription box that offers product samples found at Sephora for $10/month.
This month’s box is “Beauty Schooled” and all I can do is sing “Beauty School Dropout” from Grease. “But you won’t be dropping out with these helpful products” *barfs* Sorry for being so cheesy! I’m guessing these products will help you get ready quick so you don’t miss your first class. TIP FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS: Don’t brave the 8am class unless you really can do it or you have coffee. Trust me! After doing it for two and half years, I was so relieved my last couple of years to not have an 8am class.
Let’s go over the products!
Ouai REPAIR Shampoo and Conditioner - I think I’ve tried one thing from this brand but I can’t really remember what it was. I would love to see if this product works for me. It has some interesting ingredients and would help to hydrate and moisturize my hair and scalp. But sadly, they gave out foil packets which is less than enough for my thick curly hair. I might still try it.
Living Proof T.B.D. Multi-Tasking Styler - Y’all should know how I feel about Living Proof and their No Frizz line. This is their T.B.D. product which is supposed to help tame the hair. I’ll give it a try and trust it will help to smooth down my hair.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel - This is an old favorite of mine. A great clear gel that helps to style the brows and keep them in place. I usually fill in my brows and just one coat of this over top, my brows stay through whatever the weather. Glad to have another sample of this in this box
Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer - I don’t know who they think this box was for but...I will try this bronzer but as finishing powder. I might not be as well as the Mineral Fusion bronzer that actually worked as a powder, but we’ll see.
Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay - I’m not a big fan of clay mask but since I love roses, I think I’ll give this mask a chance. It’s a “retexturizing” mask, meaning it will exfoliate. We’ll see how well it does.
MakeupForEver Artist Rouge Lipstick in C211 - I was ready for this lipstick because I’ve had a few lippies that are in the rosewood family. I’ve tried this lippie already and it’s a bit light but works well with my skintone. I did mix it with a neutral that I have but I could see myself wearing this.
What do you think about this box?
Until next post,
XOXO
