Second WashOff Wednesday! Tonight’s mask is the Farmacy Honey Potion Mask.

I’ve used a few Farmacy products before and they’ve not done me wrong. This is a sample size but a lot of product to use because a little goes a long way.

I should probably explain what this new section will be. I don’t use or have that many wash-off masks. I have dry sensitive skin, so it’s difficult to actually use the masks and not screw up my skin. I have a small collection and I just want to use them at least once and share my experience with them.

Tonight’s mask is a honey hydration mask that I’ve used before and it was an experience.

The Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask is honey based warming mask that’s supposed to nourish and revitalize the skin for a “glowing, smooth complexion”. The first time I tried this mask, I freaked out.

The mask is a yellow thick viscose mask that is very reminiscent of honey. It has a medical scent to it. I believe that may be because of the echinacea extract that is in it that gives that scent. Not really a bad scent but it just reminds me somewhat of Vicks vapor rub. Speaking of such, Applying the mask to your face, it’s almost clear until you start to massage it in (which the directions tell you to do). It transforms into a cream mask. That’s what freaked me out the first time. I didn’t have directions in front of me and didn’t know how the mask really worked. So when I rubbed it in and it turned white, I thought it was reacting to my skin.

In a sense, it is. Also as you massage it in, it begins to warm. Not too warm but it does have the sensation of being warm on the skin. I kept the mask on for 15 minutes and removed it with a damp cool towel.

My skin looks a bit red after removal but it didn’t feel irritated and actually felt soft. After removal, I waited about 10 minutes and there was no tightness. My skin kind of felt a bit tacky but not really. There is not film but it just feels like there is honey sinking into the skin.

I enjoyed this mask. I need a better spatula to get into the small jar (full skin comes with a metal one that sticks to the lid, I believe) but other than that, it’s a nice mask. A nice wash-off mask and one that I’ll try and use more often.

Until next post,

XOXO
