#XOReview - Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub

My first foray into body scrubs was Lush’s Rub Rub Rub in the tub. I loved R3 but Lush prices made it a luxury I only got twice (the second time I got the solid version which wasn’t as awesome). Afterwards, I was on the hunt for a good sugar scrub that would leave my skin soft and be a pleasant experience in the shower. I found the Tree Hut sugar scrubs at Ulta for $7 USD and I was using them for some time. They lasted longer than Rub Rub Rub and were a great price point but weren’t on the same level or better than Lush.

I was upset.

I would have to give in and break my wallet and have an allergy problem (if you haven’t been in a Lush store, it’s just an attack of fragrance. I died every time I went on which is why I didn’t go in as much). It wasn’t until I was in Ulta, looking to pick up a few Kbeauty products when I saw the Frank Body Original Scrub at the register.

I had heard of Frank Body scrubs before; mainly the glitter body scrub. I just thought they were a gimmicky line and really didn’t give any second glance. Until this day. I saw the 100g packet and it was $10 USD, so I just gave in and got it.

The scrub is in a simple rose colored packet with the works “Guess what? You’ll be naked in one minute.” Very forward. It’s a simple coffee scrub with cacao extract, sweet almond oil, salt, brown sugar, orange oil, soybean oil, and vitamin E. A full natural scrub that is supposed to leave the skin bright, soft, smooth, and supple. And I can tell you, it did the job.

It’s a messy process with it. I alternated between dumping the grounds in my hand and just scooping it out the packet. Either way, by the end of the shower, there was going to be coffee grounds everywhere that needed to be rinsed away, but when I say my skin was so soft. I WAS IN LOVE WITH HOW IT FELT! It was the best part of shower. I would do the scrub first then my shower gel. I felt cleaner with this method and even with using the shower gel afterwards, my skin felt soft after getting out. Moisturizing was a hassle, I was just ready for bed and the next day with brighter and soft skin.

Writing this review, I remembered how much I did love Rub Rub Rub and it’s a possibility I might go back and get it but I think I might just pick up another packet of Frank Body in the meantime.

Have you used Frank Body before? What about a coffee scrub?

Until next post,

XOXO
