Tonight’s mask was hidden in my stash and I’m glad it was saved for this!

The Yeon Hallabong Energy Live Pack is a gel wash-off mask that smells like a delicious Jeju orange which is what “hallabong” means.
This is an interesting mask since it’s a gel mask but also the texture is something that you would see on #TextureTuesday. It’s a chunky gel that with a slight orange tint. What I could find on the mask, it’s a moisture pack with a cooling effect. The mask has jeju orange extract along with kiwi, lemon, and broccoli extract to brighten the skin while moisturizing. The mask has a very strong citrus scent that hits you as soon as you open it. So if you are highly sensitive to scents, this may not be for you. I didn’t really mind it like I do floral scents.

It was a messy application as it is so chunky and can just fall everywhere if you don’t massage it while applying. I used my hands and it was fun application. I kept the mask on for 20 minutes as the package said. Speaking of the package, since the directions appear to be translated roughly from Korean, it states “ apply like breaking the grain pitter patter, massaging, in 15 to 20 minutes, clean out cold water”. You could easily break up the chunky (how many more times can I use that word?) leaving a normal gel mask that can dry down.

It rinsed off very easily and I could see a slight brightness to my face. After rinsing off, my skin felt very cool. Not so much hydrated but that’s because I have dry skin, but it didn’t feel tight and too dry for some time after before I continued with my routine.
I really liked this mask and if I could try it again, I would. The sample pack did have a bit left over but I don’t know if I could still use it tomorrow. We’ll see!
Until next post,
XOXO
