Beauty Subscription - Play!BySehpora November 2018

Play!BySephora is a monthly beauty subscription box that offers product sample found at Sephora for $10/month.

This month’s is “Merry and Bright” to get you ready for the holiday parties….I don’t do holiday parties like normal but that doesn’t mean I can’t look good for work holiday party and family get-togethers.

There are some good brands in this box and one that I’ve never used before and can’t really use. Let’s see what’s in here:

First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Micellar Makeup Melter - I don’t use micellar water. Something in most micellar waters make me break out with cystic acne and it’s a pain in the ass (and face) to try and cure them. So I stay away from them and if I want to be lazy, I use certain makeup wipes. That being said, this is a oil cleanser with coconut oil. It’ll be interesting if this does well and doesn’t kill my face. ($26/160mL)

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream - I’ve received this twice before in the Sephora box and it’s a nice caffeine infused eye cream. Very refreshing and doesn’t have a bad reaction with my skin. ($26.50/15mL)

SC Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in 40 Pink Tea - I was so excited to get this lipstain. I LOVE Sephora cream lip stains. My favorite nude from the Sephora Collection is actually shade 39 which is Frozen Strawberry. I was upset when I go this shade and it’s lighter than I thought. The formula is awesome and I’ve had a couple of other shades but this shade is a no unless I make it work. ($14)

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Bloom - I’ve actually had a sample of the original Flowerbomb and I liked it. I don’t know the difference between that one and this one but it smells wonderful still. A nice floral scent that’s not too strong. ($95/50mL;$28/7.5mL)

Christophe Robin Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts - This is the new product in my box but not something I can use. I’ve never used anything from Christophe Robin and I don’t think I can in my kinky hair. This is a volumizing paste that is used in straight, wavy, and curly hair to absorb oil with the rassoul clay and add volume. I’ll be giving this away. ($53/250mL)

MakeupForever Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder - I’ve had a mini sample of this powder but this is a bigger sample. I really like and it doesn't look too drying when I use it as a finishing powder and no flashback. ($36/8.5g)

A good box with only one product that I can’t use. Yes, I know that Sephora has done the Kbeauty Play! Box but...not something I wanted and now I want a general Asian beauty Play! Box. Will it happen? Probably in two years.
