There are a few brands that I’ve repurchased and will recommend through and through. Simple Skincare cleansing wipes are the best. I’m in love with the Botanic Farms Rice FTE. Wishtrend and Cosrx have some of my favorite products. When it comes to a single brand and sunscreen, I never would have thought that I would pick a brand from Sephora.
I won’t go much into who Supergoop! Is but it’s available at Sephora and focuses mainly on sunscreen for all.
I first got into Supergoop! When I was looking for a new sunscreen after finishing my Biore Watery essence sunscreen. I needed one and didn’t want to wait for shipping. So a quick look into Sephora and I found the brand and the Everyday Broad Spectrum sunscreen which is a chemical sunscreen. I can't really use mineral sunscreen because any time that I do, besides the white/grey cast, I get cystic acne on my face in the application area. It’s really bad and it’s usually how I can tell if a product hates me.
That being said, using that product was the best. It didn’t have the terrible sunscreen scent and was so great that I’ve purchased it twice. I wish I could have added it to this review but I liked it that that all you need to know.
For this review, I will go over two other products that I’ve tried from Supergoop and let you know how I feel about them. Like I stated before, one of them I enjoyed and one I gave up on. I won’t be repurchasing either one but one I will totally not repurchase.
First up is the Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum. This is a silicone based primer sunscreen that not only helps to protect against UVA/UVB but also help with keeping your makeup looking good through the day. I wasn’t really looking for a primer but a good sunscreen that was invisible.
I thought I would compare this to Murad’s Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum - both are translucent, work as primers, and are SPFs. Unseen has no scent and goes on very smooth. It is silicone based, so there is that slip and there are some people who don’t like that.
You can layer other primers with this sunscreen and it worked fine alone. I did get tired of using it near the end because of the feel. I enjoy the cream sunscreens and sometime you don’t want to blur, so it’s not really a sunscreen that I would use for every day.
It’s a nice sunscreen and one I would recommend if you want a sunscreen and primer in one to help with your makeup, but not one I will be looking to repurchase in the near future. On the other side of this is the sunscreen that I just couldn’t get into - Defense Refresh Setting Mist Broad Spectrum SPF 50.
As summer was approaching, I was looking for a way to help reapply sunscreen and help my makeup as I melted in the Louisiana humidity. The main one that I kept seeing that really looked like it would work was the Defense Refresh Setting Mist. It looked like a great product...except for the reviews.
I read the reviews on almost all the products that I want to buy. Usually I see good reviews and if the reviews are on the fence, like this one, I decide to buy and try for myself. I think I should’ve just passed on this mist.
The main problem I have with this is the nozzle. It’s a similar nozzle on my 107 Rose Vinegar Water but the difference between how they spray is very noticeable. You’re to spray the Setting Mist 7 to 10 times in a circle on your face. It took me more than 10 sprays and usually halfway through, it wouldn’t spray!

It was a constant process of shaking and trying to spray. I couldn’t really get through it. Add to that it smelled like alcohol, it wasn’t a joy to have and I didn’t finish it. I might have to give it away or try and decant it, because the package it’s in is not working. If you are ever looking for a sunscreen setting spray, DON’T BUY THIS.
In the end, SuperGoop! Is a great brand and I would definitely repurchase the Everyday sunscreen but these are a no-go for me.
Until next post,
XOXO
